  • What is the process to book you as my wedding videographer?
The first step is to reach out through my contact form and let me know the date of your wedding. If the date is available, I’ll send you a wedding brochure outlining the different wedding video packages I offer. If you have something specific in mind, I can also create a custom package for you. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the packages in greater detail, we can set up a meeting over a call (phone, video, or in-person). Once you’ve chosen a wedding package and would like to book me as your wedding videographer, I will send you a digital contract for you to review and sign. In order to secure my services for your date, you will need to provide payment for a 50% non-refundable retainer.
  • How much do your services cost?
For package information and prices, please send a message through the contact form. Packages start at $4500.
  • What does your payment structure look like?
After signing a contract for my services, payment for 50% of the package cost will be required as a non-refundable retainer within 7-14 days after signing. Signing the contract and receiving the 50% non-refundable retainer will officially book my services for your wedding day. The remainder of the package payment will be due at the latest on the day of the wedding. However, I send an invoice reminder between 7-14 days out from the wedding day.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
I accept payment through either e-transfer or credit card with a 3% processing fee. E-transfer details will be provided upon booking my services, and for credit card payments, I will send you an invoice with a secure payment link.
  • Are you able to travel?
Yes! I mainly travel around the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. I can travel out up to 100 km one way at no extra cost. I'm happy to also travel outside of province or country.
  • What happens if my wedding date changes or gets cancelled after I book you?
If I have received both a signed contract and the 50% non-refundable retainer, we will discuss next steps for rebooking me within and up to the next 18 months from the moment I am notified of the change or cancellation of the date. If you cancel my services outright then I cannot return the non-refundable retainer. If I am already booked for another wedding on your rebooked date, I won’t be able to film your wedding or return the non-refundable retainer. If you need to rebook, please keep me posted about potential dates, so I can confirm whether or not your preferred date is available. I will do my best to accommodate!
  • Do I have to wear a microphone during the ceremony?
I highly recommend it in order to get the best quality audio for the ceremony. I have a lav mic set up for the groom as well as the bride. The bride's lav mic is discreetly placed inside the dress using a thigh strap to hold the lav mic system with a wire that goes up to the bust. The lav mic's wire is white so it will be unnoticeable for most wedding dresses. On the day of, I can walk through the set up with whoever is helping you get your dress on.
  • Do you offer photography?
For weddings, unfortunately not at this time, but I'm happy to recommend some local photographers for you.
  • What's your approach to filming on the wedding day?
I am discreet and do my best to blend in with the crowd so I can capture the most candid moments of the day. I may give direction for a handful of shots during location shoots with the photographer but I want you to be comfortable and enjoy your day with minimal interruption from me.
  • Do you use a drone?
I can! It is an add-on and will be already included in my luxury package. For package information and prices, please send a message through the contact form.
  • What parts of our wedding day will you cover?
Depending on the hours you book me for and your wedding day schedule, I do my best to cover the most important parts of the day. My hopes are to get everything in between getting ready until the dancing begins at the reception. I offer the option to add on extra time if you feel like you need it on the day of. I would speak to either you or a designated point person to clear extra hours when I get close to the end of my time at your wedding day.
  • Can I get the RAW footage from you?
You can. However, two things you need to know: 1. The filming captured by the videographer is the videographer's work. Giving it out would be entrusting that work to whomever has it and that person could do whatever they want with it. Therefore, I charge a fee for distributing my video files. Cost dependent on amount of footage captured. 2. The footage I capture is unprocessed. What this means is that there is no colour grading to it and so the original files look flat. The reason for this has to do with the colour grading process I implement that allows more flexibility when editing footage to shape the lighting and colours to the way I would like them to be produced.
  • How will I receive the final video after it has been shot and edited?
After I have filmed and edited your wedding video(s), you will be the first ones to watch it through receiving an unlisted Vimeo link where you can view and download the final product. This unlisted link means that it can't be found online and can only be viewed if you have the link. This link will be shared with you, ensuring that only you and those you choose to share it with have access to the video. I will also post the video on my social channel to display my work after I know you have seen your wedding film first.
  • Can I request changes in my wedding film
That will depend on the change, but if you notice something please let me know and we can discuss it! I make sure to review and include all the best moment of your special day in your wedding film.
  • When can we expect to receive our videos after the wedding?
You can expect the turnaround time for wedding videos to be between 2-3 months. I personally go through your wedding day and cull the best moments of the day to ensure that the final product surpasses your expectations.
  • Can we select our own music for the wedding film?
If the music is a popular song and/or licensed by a record label then unfortunately no. However, I have a license to a music library that I can direct you to if you feel you really want to find a song for yourself. If you're curious about how I choose my music, it is based on the couple's personality, their wedding day and how they are represented on their day. I normally default to folk-pop music but if you have a different genre in mind let me know and I will look for something that fits your style.
